SITE MANAGER: ELECTRICAL – Gauteng

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The installation and connection of all electrical connections on all civil sites for communications industry as per the SA Electrical Board standards.
DUTIES
Implementation of all electrical installations.
Issuing of Certificates of Conformance and conducting of earth resistivity testing.
Measurement and analysis of power consumption requirements for individual sites and determination of upgrade requirements from independent suppliers.
Site administration skill requirement as follows:
Compilation of Electrical As-Built documentation.
Submission of weekly and monthly timesheets.
Management of Implementation Programmes and reporting back to Head Office.
Management of float account and reconciliation of such.
Implementation of all RF installations, including feeders and antennas and civil works may be required depending on the project requirement.
Interface with Operations Management and skilled labour crew to carry out works successfully.
To comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All house-keeping and training of site staff.
All health and Safety on site and adherence to the law and Company Policies regarding Health and Safety.
Report accurately on all site works.
Correct implementation of electrical installations as per SA Electrical Board standards..
KEY PERFORMANCE / SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Must be a qualified electrician with a Wireman’s Licence.
Be self motivated, able to work independently from support of management and able to make informed decisions.
Must have good site management skills.
Able to follow and abide to project programmes.
Must be a team player.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Electrical installation work experience essential, preferably within the GSM industry.
Antenna/feeder installations preferable.
GSM equipment installation, including BTS and rectifier installation preferable.
Basic electrical reticulation work experience is essential.
Microwave installation work experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
General building skills experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
OTHER
Must be prepared to travel extensively.
