SITE MANAGER – RF / INSTALLATIONS – Gauteng

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The implementation and installation of works required for electronic, telecommunication and allied projects/installations

DUTIES
Assemble, reticulate and wire the equipment shelters for electronic telecommunications and allied projects.
Interface with Operations Management and Logistics to manage the work successfully and meet required target dates.
Ensure a high quality of workmanship and interface with TQM for quality inspections.
Successfully manage the reticulation teams to meet target dates and quality work specified.
Implementation of RF installations, including feeders and antennas.
Perform sweep tests on equipment installed.
The management and control of materials delivered to site / Fitment Centre.
Administrative duties, including timesheet submission, project feedback and expenditure control.
Control all costs related to the site team for the duration of the site works.
Interface with Operations Management and skilled labour crew to carry out works successfully.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General house-keeping and training of site staff.
Health and Safety on site and adherence to the law and Company Policies regarding Health and Safety.
Report accurately on all site installation works.
Correct implementation of RF installations and shelter reticulation as per Engineering specification supplied.
To comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time.

KEY PERFORMANCE / SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Be able to read and understand sweep test results and identify any problem areas with an understanding to resolve such.
Must be able to read and understand the reticulation drawings and reticulate the shelter accordingly.
Be self motivated, able to work independently from support of management and able to make informed decisions.
Must have good site management skills.
Able to follow and abide to project programmes.
Must be a team player.
Must understand the quality standards required / applied for shelter reticulation.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Radio frequency (RF) installation work experience a must, preferably within the GSM industry.
Antenna/feeder installations.
Feeder sweep testing.
Antenna optimisation.
GSM equipment installation, including BTS and rectifier installation.
Basic electrical reticulation work experience is essential.
Rigging skills experience is essential.
Microwave installation work experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
General building skills experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
OTHER
Must be prepared to travel extensively.
