REGIONAL PROJECT MANAGER – Gauteng
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The regional project manager is to ensure the successful execution of various turnkey projects in his region, market the Company and grow the current business, manage the relationship with the various customers, and manage and administrate the regional office and personnel.
DUTIES
Ongoing customer account and relationship management, including ongoing marketing of Brolaz solutions within the region.
Develop project scope, schedules and budget in accordance with customer requirements.
Assist with responses to tenders and development of cost estimates.
Obtain local quotes/pricing from potential sub-contractors.
Generate, update, manage and report all project costs, including budgeting and forecasting.
Compile quotes for approval by Project Planning and submission to the customer.
Direct and manage project execution, including activation and controlling internal and external project resources.
Ensure the successful closure of the project, including final invoices, handovers and documentation.
Manage and administrate the regional office and all personnel assigned to the region, whether permanent or temporary.
Manage and administrate any subcontractors appointed in the region to perform tasks for Brolaz.
Report on all regional activities and statistics.
Liaison with the various responsible divisions at Brolaz Head Office.
Comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution and control of all project(s) in his region.
The Regional Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the best possible relations with existing as well as new customer at all times, achieving steady growth in the business as agreed on an annual basis with the Director: Project Management.
The Regional Project Manager is responsible for managing all resources in the Region, whether permanently or temporarily assigned, in accordance with the company’s policies, systems and procedures.
KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS
Execution of all projects on time, within cost and to the customer satisfaction.
Customer satisfaction measured in terms of growth in business of existing customers and in terms of acquisition of business at new customers.
Management and coordination of all resources permanently and temporarily deployed in the region.
Accurate and timely reporting of regional activities and statistics.
Implementation of company blueprint policies, systems and procedures within the region.
AUTHORITY
This position carries the authority as is vested in the responsibilities of the task at hand, and as otherwise assigned by the Director, Project Management.
EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Minimum education requirement is a technical degree/diploma from a recognised institution.
Post graduate degree/diploma in business- or project management would be an advantage.
In depth knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication and/or construction industry, as well as the Brolaz product portfolio.
Proficient in MS Office, as well as standard project management software.
Must have strong leadership capabilities and possess general- and commercial management knowledge and skills.
Fluent in English (read, write, speak) and one other language with excellent communication and inter-personal skills essential.
Proven skills in marketing and selling, with the ability to build and nurture strong customer relationships.
Reliable, trustworthy and professional person with a strong personality.
Must be able to take initiative and be able to work independently.
Flexibility to travel.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Project Management experience and a proven track record of successful project implementation in a similar environment at senior level is essential.
Exposure to customer- or account management in a related environment.
